Developing women leaders is our mission. As the oldest and largest organization serving women professionals in cable and telecommunications, Women in Cable Telecommunications (WICT) is at the forefront of an industry undergoing constant change. Since its founding in 1979, WICT has remained steadfast in its resolve to advance the position and influence of women through proven leadership programs and services at both the national and local level.

WICT embraces a spirit of collaboration within its organization and throughout the industry. We partner with cable and telecommunications industry leaders to provide leadership programs and services, and challenge these companies to create professional advancement opportunities for women.

The Northern California Chapter has an extremely diverse membership base from all facets of the telecommunications and cable industries including not only sales and marketing, finance, programming, technical and HR, but many more. Our Chapter focuses on education, mentoring and building strong leadership skills for women, and men, in the cable and telecommunications industry.

WICT's Northern California Chapter brings quality, local events to the Bay and Sacramento areas, and provides invaluable opportunities to network with senior industry leaders, peers and other professionals. Networking with women leaders who share the same concerns, goals, and experiences helps build the all-important professional relationships that are key to career development and advancement.

Local Chapter programs provide educational and development opportunities that keep members informed on new developments and cutting edge trends, helping to advance the position of women in the industry.

The local Chapter is always interested in volunteers who would like to assist at local events, volunteer for Chapter committees, or offer other levels of involvement. Whether you have a little or a lot of time, you’ll find that participation in local Chapter programs helps develop leadership skills and provide additional career opportunities not always achieved through your day-to-day job responsibilities.
